The 2012 Democratic National Convention official kick-off will take place at the Time Warner Cable Arena in uptown Charlotte on September 6, 2011. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be available for purchase at noon following the conclusion of the event. Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx will speak.
